Tandoori chicken - with tandoori masala

Ingredients :
1 pound of Boneless skinless Chicken drumsticks or pieces.
3-4 spoons of Shaan tandoori masala
5 spoons of plain yogurt. To get more juicier chicken take more yogurt.
2 tespoons of turmeric
salt to taste
1/4 cup lemon juice.
1-2 teaspoons of cayenne pepper or red mirchi powder if you want it more spicy

Method :
1. Wash the chicken thoroughly and turmeric over it.
2. In a separate bowl, mix yogurt, tandoori masala, salt, lemon juice and cayenne pepper if you want it more spicy.
3. Apply the mixture to the chicken pieces and marinate it for about 30 min. Different tandoori masala's have different intensity of colour and taste. Shaan's masala will give lot of colour with even small quantities. Your hands itself will be red if you mix by hand. So you have to add more masala if you want taste also. If you use another brand, you might require more or less. One more way of applying the masala is put all the mixed masala above in a empty plastic container if you have one at home. Put in the pieces. Apply the cap and shake the container. The masala will get evenly applied on the chicken.
4. Now set the oven at 450F. Take a baking tray. Apply aluminium foil on it. Spread a little oil onto it. Don't pour. Take a spoon full, spread it using the back of spoon or apply with brush.
5. Spread the marinated chicken pieces on the alumium foil.
6. Cook for 25 mins and rotate the pieces in between at around 12 mins. General timing i observed was 30 min per pound of chicken. Keep it in the oven for longer if you need little driver variety.
7. Once cooked, remove the tray from oven, chicken from tray. Carefull with the tray as it will be hot. Serve the chicken with some hot sauce like buffalo sauce..yumm.

Enjoy...
